Power washer brand

The eagle one is 1200 but doesn’t come with hoses. Comes with a x jet and tips so by the time it makes it to my business it’s 1600 and some change or the link you sent wich comes with hoses tips a new gun and is free shipping and same price here’s where I’m having trouble deciding is one with the x jet and no hoses just tips or hoses gun and tips

Yeah, it’s a good little unit. Big improvement over the 3.5gpm direct drive I had been using.

Overall, it will be an investment to get it set up properly. You’ll want a buffer tank, hose reels, and enough hose to reach all the way around to the backs of houses, plus all the plumbing and figuring. All together, I spent about $2,500 last year setting up my trailer. And I already owned the trailer and high pressure reel.

I have 200’ of pressure hose on the reel and another 100’ spare, besides the 50’ that came with it. So far I’ve needed 300’ for one home, and 250’ at a couple others.

I doubt PowerWashStore is going to ship it for free. I would email them for a quote.

I’ve never used the xjet - I’ve always just down-streamed. But I hear they can be useful if you need to get a somewhat stronger mix on something.

Having a spare gun and an extra 50’ of hose never hurts. But if you’ve already got those, you might save a little cash going with PWS; will probably come down to the shipping.

Thanks

OK so I found the 5.5 2500 is actually comes out to 1700psi and about 5.0 GPM so I guess moving to a 18hp so someone tell me if that’s right the guy at the power washing company here told me that is it true or false???

You’ll lose about 150psi per 100 ft of hose, so unless you’re running 500’ of hose guy is full of crap. Every pressure pro unit I’ve gotten past couple of years actually has come in slightly better than their specs.

Plus one. Mine was right at 2500 psi at the pump with a pressure gauge, and put out 5.5+ gpm when I did the bucket test.

There’s been some confusion from one of the distributors over which pump comes on that machine. They erroneously claimed it was a general ts1021 (rated for only 1700psi), when in fact it is the the tss2021, which they renamed to HP5535. The new name makes it pretty clear that it’s a 5.5(really .6)@3500.

You could always get the pressure pro 5.6@2500, and either upgrade or tune your engine for more HP later. The pump on that unit is rated for 3500 psi. I’m betting some careful tweaking could allow an increase to 3000 psi without too much trouble. You probably wouldn’t ever need more than that.

If you start pulling in big commercial concrete jobs, you’ll want upgrade to an 8gpm unit (or two ), anyway. By then, you should have the income to justify one of those Landa 8@3500 machines with the Udor pumps that @Innocentbystander linked to awhile back.

I see the 5.6@2500 as sort of a stepping-stone machine if you’re planning on working your way up to the really big ticket jobs. Or a really great workhorse if you’re doing mostly house washes with other services mixed in.

I do residential and commercial work so would this still be a good unit???

For occasional commercial. If you’re going to be focused on that you really need hot water unit. That 5.5 2500 great little unit for house washing.

I have hot water heater and I do a couple of Store fronts

With the 5.5 @ 2500 what surface washer would you recommend?

my next one

I have some used ones sitting in the shop. couple thousand hours on the engines and 3 or 4 thousand on the pumps. $2k each. Probably better off with the new if you can swing it. These are just back ups. They may last 2 years or 2 days.

Can’t go wrong with Whisper Wash Classic

Free shipping… Bill helped set me up.

what made you choose a 5.5 gpm over say a 8 gpm when the price difference is not that much??

I thought about it alot and naturally I wanted the bigger machine but decided on the 5.5 because I could use a smaller buffer tank and because I mostly do residential. I felt like 8 gpm would have been overkill.

Plus 1. And a smaller buffer tank also meant I could use a lighter trailer and smaller tow vehicle.

New to the game here. Using this business as side hustle $ I currently have a briggs and stratton profressional grade 2.3 gpm. I been pricing out PW and would like to upgrade to a 3.5 gpm. I saw a simpson 3.5 gpm at Loews for 849.00, but I also found a briggs and stratton 5 gpm for 379.00. why would this be so much less with a greater gpm?

Because it’s junk. IIRC, that briggs machine has a weird variable pressure/flow pump, that sacrifices pressure to allow greater flow. I doubt it would last or be useable for professional use.

If you’ve tested the waters, so to speak, and have seen that you can make money in power washing, then I recommend upgrading to a professional belt or gear driven machine. Either a 4@4000 or 5.5@2500. Tons of info on either one if you do a search. I put mine on credit and had it paid off in weeks.
