Where are you located? Wally world still has it for $6ish around here… and Menards has started removing their stock once the store has under 100 gallons left.

We tend to be slower to follow suit then the rest of the nation… but I’ll keep my eyes peeled over the next couple weeks. I was thrown into panic mode last fall when jobs were still rolling in but the supply levels were drying up… had to bite the bullet and pay 2-3X more at the pool store a couple times just to wrap up the year.
It was at a wally world. They already cleared out their lawn and garden section for christmas. I usually hit it about the first week or two of september, same thing at lowest and homie depo. You can deal with store managers, not assistants, not department heads. If you can use it see if they will give you everything at a further reduced price. I do it all the time. e.g. Lowest was clearing out outdoor furniture, saw what I needed to replace but not on clearance. Talked to store manager, wheeled and dealed got a $692 set for $284 out the door. I would have cleared wally world out but I only have paint/stain estimates on the the table now, I’m pretty much done washing. That stuff won’t last the winter.
Yea it’s a fine balance of just enough but not too much… especially once I’m paying $9 a gallon… the discounts to use it up and recoup costs start flowing at the end of November lol.
