Pool essentials 10% discontinued?

I did pools for 5 years. Shocking pools was easier to do with trichlor as measuring is easier, its super concentrated, safer for travel. Five gallons of trichlor granules lasts half a season when its used to shock so long as your chlorine system is being managed correctly. Five gallons of liquid 12.5 is only 33% of a shock dose in 30000 gallon pool depending on what your trying to kill. 5 or 6 cups of trichlor will do the same

You all have it rough I guess. Or you are not googling for chemistry supply companies. I get mine delivered to my house on a semi into my 55 gallon barrels in my shop. And only pay $2 a gallon!

And I’m a “part timer” so only buying 110 gallons every 50 days or so…

This is what I use here in SOCAL it’s easy to find right now and I actually loaded up on cases yesterday, enough to finish this year.

What are you washing in socal

Manager at Ace Hardware told me they had a labeling issue with that product and made all stores across the country take them off the shelves. He also said they would be sending a replacement but they weren’t allowed to sale that product.

I have been using the 10% SH from Walmart @ $3,64 a gallon as well. Fair price and it works well. I went to restock yesterday and the shelves were bare. Not good.

Horrible price!

Not too bad price, depends on the area and the production date of the stuff. Staledated, price would be bad, but for fresh stuff, not bad. It’s all relevant and price your jobs accordingly. I have a 12.5% SH “supplier” nearby Their stuff is in a warehouse in a large tank no telling the age and costs nearly the same, and I choose to use the Walmart stuff. With the Walmart stuff, (Pool Essentials) it is date stamped, and I use a little bit more, but 10% has been working fine for me.
