Polymeric sand around Pool

Fellas,

Has anyone used Polymeric sand, any sand really, around the pool and had customers complain? I washed and put polymeric sand down, 1900 sq ft of pavers, and the customer continues to complain about sand getting in the pool. I used my shop vac this afternoon to vacuum and lose sand from the first 5 ft around the pool. Any comments would be appreciated.

Did you seal it too? If not, that would probably do the trick.

HO not interested in sealing. I guess my real question would be is it out of the ordinary for a little sand to end up in the pool?

My experience with polymeric sand tells me that when it is properly installed and misted into place it binds exceptionally well to the point of being troublesome and unforgiving. I’ve found myself on hands and knees with a scraper because i didn’t realize i had a few wet spots and the polymer binders activated prematurely.
So, short answer for me is yes, it would be out of the ordinary to end up in the pool if installed cautiously and correctly.

AllCleanPowerWashing , can I hit you up for a 5 minute phone call sometime on Saturday? Let me know as I think it would help me tremendously

Are you saying that after installing the polymeric sand and setting it that the sand is loose? If that’s the case something went terribly wrong… It’s supposed to be hard and cohesive that’s the whole point…
