Good thing we’re not on a ship, sure is a lot of drift going on.

@dperez @Firefighter4hire sure wish I could find stupid good deals down here. I’ve been watching marketplace like a hawk since last winter.

Not sure what you mean, the sitrep is snafu ;>)

You gotta carry cash

Everybody around my neck of the woods is doing it with homeowner pw. Only a couple maybe 2-3 with real setups. One guy has 10 different rigs running washing trucks. Guess I might have to venture over towards Texas to find some deals.

I live between two major cities always prime for the picking

I don’t know much about marketplace because I’m not on FB but I know enough about it to know the deals are not there. All my deals come from Craiglist and OfferUp. I scored a new Northstar vertical hotbox for $200 that just needed a flow switch.

Craigslist is a joke around here same with offer up. I’m in northeast Louisiana around west Monroe. Found a few things over in Tyler Texas, guess I’m gonna have to call my uncle that lives there and get him to start keeping eyes open. I need 2 more pumps at least 5gpm or higher 2 more engines and a hotbox. That would give me something to do this winter.

You guys have some horrible roads out there! I was in Monroe recently picking up 4 tanks from Poly Processing.

Go wash some trucks if you’re looking for work for the winter

There is always bricks to be washed in the winter

You ain’t never joking! I don’t go to Monroe except once a month maybe. I stay out in the country.
I stay busy in the winter with my regular job but I like to build and fix stuff. Last winter I rebuilt the steering system on my ole international 464 tractor.

Very cool man, is it a diesel it gasser? I want a lil John Deere garden tractor to restore

1978 gas burner. But man she’s a beast. Cleared 3 acres with her when I moved out here about 8 years ago. Just can’t get rid of it she worked to hard for me. I mainly use it to pull out my 2014 John Deere 3005 when I get it stuck.

I like those little 332 John Deere’s you can keep up a small garden with them dudes.

My wife and I are just as sentimental with our first and oldest truck. Ol Red is a 7.3l one ton from 88’. He’s a hard working ol timer that just wont quit. I’m the only one that drives him since none of the guys would keep him under 60 mph and they would just tear him up. I talked with her about letting him go last week and she just about cried. I guess I’ll keep a tarp on him and she can go get mulch with him lol

That’s me and my old grey ghost. 2005 Ford F-250 5.4l 3valve. But it was my company truck and bought it from the company when the oil boom dropped out. 335k miles and still gets up and pulls my trailers without hesitation. Gonna keep that one till it falls apart.

I got you beat at 380k, just needs some valve guide seals that I’m too lazy to do. Fresh Rotella every 1,500 to 1,700 miles. Fresh burgundy interior looks restored but just well cared for. Hence his name Ol Red
