Plastic Water Tank suppliers?

Does anyone know of a good place to order water tanks? I really just need two 16 gal tanks for my setup, but I cannot seem to find a reliable dealer right now.

How soon do you need em? When I checked US Plastics and Uline the shipping times were a few weeks. Tractor Supply sells 65gal and 35gal in most stores. I’ve seen the 15gal drums on marketplace a few times.

It would nice to have them soon, I can run a 5 gal bucket for SH right now but I just upgraded to a 4gpm so I wanted to have bigger SH tank to downstream from. You think the blue 15 gal barrels would work? I saw some on market place also.

Agri supply has good tanks. Most everything they sell is worth it. If you’re handy that place is like a candy store on steroids. Be warned though every time I go there it takes me 3 hours and I spend way more than I should.

If you just need two 16 gallon tanks then northern tool isn’t a bad option either. They won’t last as long in the sun but those are cheap and you’ll probably upgrade before you wear the tanks out.

That being said Consider getting at least 1 larger tank. You can do a whole lot with a 25-35 gallon tank vs a 16 gallon especially if you’re running a decent 12v. You don’t want to have to constantly upgrade your rig as you learn. Buy what you’ll need in the future but I do recall you building this rig out of your tacoma bed so it makes sense to consider how much space you’ll have as well. That or buy a trailer off facebook marketplace.

Yea for now I’ll just be running the rig out of my truck bed, just gotta save up for a trailer, but a better surface cleaner comes first right now.

Thanks!

If you were closer to Louisville I have a square 16gal from my old setup.

Did you end up getting that belt drive?

I ended up going with a direct drive, it’ll last me two years then i’ll upgrade to a 5.5 or 6.8. I just couldn’t afford to drop 2k on a belt drive right now. I got a basically brand new direct drive that GX390 for 800 off of market place, just couldn’t pass it up!

It’ll do for now. Just understand if it’s not fully plumbed so bypass can be diverted to a buffer tank you’ll have to hit the trigger at least every thirty seconds to prevent the pump from overheating.

Also do a quick bucket test on your spigots to make sure it’s at least 5gpm so it won’t fry your pump.

I will!!

As soon as you’re able you need to upgrade to a belt drive. Running a business with a direct drive machine for more than a month is ridiculous

Why didn’t you get the Mi-t-m?

It was about a 2 hour drive there, also it was 1500, so the gx390 with the direct drive will do me just right. It was only $800, i’m just starting out so once my income increases i’ll upgrade… I was also hesitant about it because it looked pretty beat up.

You can make the direct drive work for a bit but you need to be diligent to save a % of whatever you make on each job so you can upgrade. Then you’ll have a backup machine ready to go.

Where in Georgia are you ? I found a guy down by six flags they sells plastic drums and there is another in Cumming - not sure if you’re OTP or ITP

I’m in upper left north georgia

Great - then you know where six flags is and where Cumming is. Check Craig’s list for the six flags guy.

ok thanks!
