Pics of your most hysterical competitors

Ahhh, I’ve gotcha. Makes sense, they couldn’t get the water up there anyway I reckon. Geez, that pic makes me feel dizzy

Wait…could they get the water up there? I mean, they’re a few feet from the top, how full do they keep those things?

There’s not going to be any access to water on a water tower and especially 100’ in the air.

They could run a supply hose from the ground tied off to the side of the JLG but would loose all sorts of flow at that height.

You would only have a few psi if any at that height from a garden hose. Figure in friction loss in the hose as well as height drop.

Only way you can do it is a machine on the ground.

Thanks, I was just curious from a physics standpoint. I was thinking that hypothetically, if they had a hose stretched that high and tapped into any water supply, it would produce flow as long as the hose wasn’t higher than the water level in the tower… Totally off topic, apologies haha!

100% forgot about friction loss

It would! As long as you were a few feet below the waterline in the tank. But you would loose flow due to friction in the hose. Fun to think these things out in your head sometimes and challenges the mind.

They actually have a tap at the base where they can pull water samples. At least the ones I was asked to bid on do.

Owe i No mr. lacey, win i use to spell things wrong you was the first to “FTFY” now you have just given up.

I think most people would be surprised to find that their typical insurance policy does not cover cleaning of water towers. I’ve checked mine before and it was a hard no. Most common policies max out at 3 stories, so I don’t think they would be happy to find someone on a 100ft lift haha

I forgot to say I was watching them and they weren’t washing it with SH. Well at least it didn’t look like they were. I didn’t see a jug or chem tank in the ground or up on the lift. They were blasting away at it with a 10 foot wand and a pressure tip. I’m pretty sure they’re still there

The manufacturer instructions say to wash with less than 2500 psi with 40 degree fan tip cold water and or use sodium hypochlorite at a mixture of less than 3% on the surface.

So they were just doing it the hard way lol

What in the heck does that mean ?

I thought a lift that high, would have out riggers on it .
