Hiya folks. First post so be kind ehš. You guys rock btw.
I picked up this whole package for $900. A $12 amazon carb and a lil cussing and sheās good to go. 6 gmp @ 300 psi. powered by Honda gx100 40 gal tank with all the steel. And my favorite part, 12v hannay reel with roller and 300ā hose.
I know everyone is using the 12v pumps, but for the package I couldnāt resist. Iām only wondering how long that pump will last with roof wash flowing through? I know itās not to bad to rebuild them. Through testing today, pump will be more than adequate.
Should I sell pump and motor and just go 12v or give this thing a go?
Hereās a video of the set up if youāre really bored.
I dont think the pump will last long. What size hose is it ID. You can keep it like it is and add a 12v pump to it and hose and a battery box and your good to go . Thatās a big tank. Or if you mount small p washer to it will make a good starter rig. Then build a smaller roof rig.
Heyā¦Another Canadian ? @Max are you like the King pin up there trying to recruit Canucks to PW, Then invade the US all DS style?
If so bring me some Tim Hortons,Canadian bacon and maple syrup plz, yall can hide out on my farm.
I thought he may be one of us when I seen the eh. No plan of an invasion yet, your president will ship us back to where we came from quicker than we can say sorry
I think ole Queen Elizabeth would stomp a mud hole in Trumps toupee @anon37135677 . Now youāre prez Trudeau is a lil wimpy looking,.Think or first lady might treat him like a baby does a diaper.
I was going to say they must not have watched the video. Iām sure there arenāt too many southern accents that far north.
Just be sure to flush the heck out of that thing after each job. I bet thereās more exposed metal in a pump like that compared to a 12v. You might be better off selling the pump and engine and just buying a 12v. Even the outside will corrode pretty quickly just being around sh which will definitely effect resale value if you eventually decide to sell it.
Iām kinda in agreement with you on the selling aspect and that thing is a pain in the rear to prime.
Well, at least it runs now. Should be sellable somewhere .
Iād keep it and get my pesticide license. Iām kidding but I would figure out something to do with that pump. Even if you destroy the pump that gx100 is a cool little engine.
D252ās run Buna diaphragms, while ok for insecticides, herbicides and liquid fertilizer not so much SH. If youāre looking at double diaphragm pumps Teflon diaphragms are where itās at.
