Parking garage, water dams?

I have a 9000 sq/ft parking garage that just needs “rinsing out”. Never done one before, but I used to do the windows at the condo building so somewhat familiar. He said previous ‘handymen’ have used a push broom to get water out the door, would it be prudent to get some water dams?

Did you ever figure out water dam situation? I have a project coming up where I’ll need some.

Not really. I ended up pushing the water out with a floor squeegee. It was the only garage I’ve done so didn’t want to invest in water dams.

I have used poly tubing a few times, works well. Cut it long, fold and zip tie one end, fill with ball valve or low pressure hose, zip tie other end. Just don’t fill it too full. Super cheap compared to other fillable barriers

How do you move it when you’re done? Or do you just poke a hole in it and drain it out?

I’ve been looking for suitable hose/ rubber tubing for just this purpose. probably even half inch heavy hose would divert water just as good. I’ll be doing this in a pinch for sure.

I usually drag it to a suitable drainage spot and either slice the side with a knife or cut the zip tie to reuse it.

Heavy hose might work, not sure if it would weigh enough. The poly tubing being tall and heavy is pretty handy.
