Parking Garage Clearance

For those of you that have serviced parking garages, how do you get your equipment inside garages under 7 feet?

Alot of garages have clearance of like 6’6" to 6’8". I have a chevy express cargo van with a trailer, and a F-350 flatbed and both of them are about 7 feet tall. I guess an F-150 might fit into some garages, but its not a very heavy duty truck…

Are you sure your F-350 flatbed is 7’high or is that the height from the equipment on it? My F-550 flatbed is 6’6" high at the highest point and that includeds the machines/burners and tanks on it. We did have to cut down the 2 burners so they wouldn’t be to high.

Also sometimes in a garage you can maneuver around in there where you can find more height clearance or use your imagination as to where to park like on a ramp. The signs you see at the entrance way are set to the lowest point in the garage even though it may be a higher clearance when you go in. So all these play a factor.

Worse case scenario is we keep the trucks outside and run hundreds of feet of hoses to get the job done.

Yeah, the top of my flatbed truck is about 6’ 6" as well. I put a pressure pro skid on it and it raised the height to 7’ 2"

It makes me mad because the pressure pro spec sheet says the skid is 41" high and the skid is actually 48" high, so now my rig sits 7 inches higher because of their mistake.

I was thinking about relocating the burner somehow, but I’m sure that would be no easy task…

Thanks for your help!

Cut down the frame if you can thats what I did w/my horizontal burner frames plus I still was able to take out the 10gal diesel fuel tank & replace them w/22 gal tanks each. Its worth to cut down the frames so you can do these jobs & not leave $$$$$ on the table. Best of luck.
