I had a slight bend in my chemical intake hose. But it wasn’t that bad I had it on 50/50 plus some soap. Then today I had to go back & get another 15 gallons. So I bought 55 gallons for this roof and used another 10 that I had left over. It just wouldn’t turn. I kept putting on coat after coat and letting it dry. Maybe they’re ripping me at the pool store.
Yeah I see what you are saying. I don’t think the clients care, but at the same time they kind of know that a one guy operation isn’t a company. I think I need to go back to a batch mix to see if these schmuks at the pool store are getting over on me. I just spent 150.00 on SH for this 2000 sq. ft roof. 65 gallons and I still felt like it wasn’t clean.
Is the SH hot when you stick the tip of your finger in it? I know when I get a fresh batch of hot sauce it warms the fingertip right away. When I have SH sitting for a while not so much.
Any chance this stain you are trying to remove is protected under some sort of sealant and therefore the reason why no matter how much SH you throw at it it so t budge?
just grab a test kit so you’ll know…granted I have one but never use it. Fingertip as suggested, or wash something and see how quick it works
I’ve come to the conclusion that the SH was good as I washed some things today w/the same mix. I now think the problem was I had very little surfactant. The roof was slick because of the infestation so I thought I had enough. But it was the algae making it slick. The chem was running off the roof-a mistake I’ve made before which cost me a lot time & money.
i was just going to say, the surfactant keeps it wet awhile, but you figured it out.
