I went to the uamcc convention last year and took a concrete cleaning class. The instructor was saying oxalic was more effective at brightening concrete than sh and house wash mix. Can anyone tell me what’s the best way to apply oxalic (pump up sprayer or down stream). Is there a dwell time or do I leave it? What strength should I use? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
I would ignore the advice. Lots of internet professors show up at those events. Ox is mainly used to remove rust stains and the like. It will brighten, but not always evenly, kills a lot of grass, is a pain to spread uniformly and will burn you(and your customers kids and puppy dogs) I applied with a plastic watering can but haven’t used it in about 10 years. I just tell customers I don’t remove rust stains or brighten anything.
Designated pump sprayer. Mix 4oz. Powder with a gallon of warm water and stir well. Spray on rust only, minimal amounts. You may need to agitate with a brush. Let it dwell for 10-15 minutes, rinse and repeat if necessary.
I only use this acit on rust stains. I hate traveling with chemicals on both sides of the ph scale, so I charge accordingly. I won’t mix any for less than ?75
Thanks so much for the info!!!
lol!!! Thanks for info!!
