Outdoor suspended ceiling tiles?

Does anyone have experience working around these? This is a bank drive-thru.

Thanks!

To elaborate, they don’t want the tiles cleaned. But the pillars and surrounding structure are in desperate need of cleaning.

Maybe with extremely low pressure but other than that you’ll have a jigsaw puzzle to put back together from inside the ceiling. I hate drop down ceilings plus they show every water stain known to man

I think this is what they’re mostly concerned with - the appearance of the outside the overhang:

If its regular 3270 gypsum lay panel it cannot take direct contact with water. If it’s the frp type it can get wet but I wouldn’t go crazy.

Break out the ladder and Zep spray bottle for the top of those posts

Consider just brushing your solution on the pillars. You could even rinse the to couple ft with a sprayer if you’re worried about splatter.

Ok, I think I have a good solution for this. I setup a dual feed for my wfp recently, so I could tackle a really tricky first time window clean. It hooks up to a 2 gallon pump sprayer, that I can put whatever mix I want in.

When I’m done applying and scrubbing my mix in, I can rinse it off with the pure water from my tank. I’ll probably DS all of the less critical areas with my pressure washer.

I’m gonna find out which type of tiles those are first, though.

My contact at the bank called back and let me know it’s a gypsum core with vinyl facing.

So I could get the surface a little wet, but no more. I think I’m gonna go ahead and plan on using my dual feed wfp for the very tops, and ds the rest.

Now to work out the minor details, like protecting the ATM and pricing the job, lol.

Take care of that ATM, if it gets wet it might malfunction and put all the money it has on the ground, and turn the place you just cleaned into a big pile of dirty money.

Just for kicks, put on a ski mask when you go in to collect the check.
