Finally adding an SC to my equipment. I have a 4 GPM/4000PSI Belt Drive with General Pump. After much reading on here and debating between a 16 inch Eagle Wash and 20 inch WWClassic, I’m going with the 16 inch Eagle Wash.
What I can’t find an answer for so far is if I need to specify a certain nozzle type when I purchase, in regards to nozzle size and whether it’s 2-nozzle bar or 4-nozzle bar.
Just ask the supplier? Tell them what you have it may already have the correct tips in it they may switch them out for free. What ever you do buy a extra set. And go ahead and get you a bar saver.
You won’t be using a 4 nozzle bar with the small machine, they’re typically used with higher GPM units. IIRC my nozzles were 2502’s when I had my 4gpm but check with the other guys.
Word of advice…if/when you use a ball valve to rinse after disconnecting from the SC, don’t be like me and plug it back in after dropping it in the dirt. Those tiny holes in the nozzles don’t like that.
Although I don’t have that sc I would imagine it will come with “stock nozzles” and you’ll have to purchase the size you want separately. I would be surprised if a 16" surface cleaner would have a 4 nozzle bar.
That makes sense. I also figured the spray pattern or, degree, would be so tight it wouldn’t work too well. The spray would be bouncing off each other.
There will only be 2 nozzles. Divide the gpm in to the amount of nozzles the surface cleaner has (2) and use the nozzle chart to determine what you need to get around 2500psi. 25025 is what you’ll need.
Go with the WW classic. Nothing compares,
2 tips, 25025, it will be great @ 4gpm, and you will never grow out of it. I’ve spent a lot of $$$$ on surface cleaners, and WW is the best of the best. Worth twice the money.
