Working on a bid for this older home that the customer just purchased to remodel and flip. There is orange staining all the way around on the bottom third of the entire exterior. Is this iron oxide staining? What do you guys suggest to treat with? First time dealing with these stains. Thanks in advance
Oxalic takes time and probably a couple of applications. F9 Barc works great but is expensive so adjust your quote accordingly
I appreciate it.
It could be red mud staining as well. Lots of threads on that on here
OneRestore works great too.
Looks like rust to me. Maybe from the sprinkler system. Rust remover plus works great.
Thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate it
For f9 products. Red clay staining is typically removed with f9 efflo. If the staining is rather light f9 barc could work.
If it is iron staining from sprinklers f9 barc is what you want. Half the time there will be efflorescence underneath the iron staining if on brick, which will then require f9 efflo.
If the iron staining is really heavy, it is more cost effective to hit with f9 efflo straight first, pressure wash, let dry then start the barc process.
Just an FYI, do a test spot in an inconspicuous area. It is hard to judge things based on a picture.
