Optimal trailer layout

I have recently converted a two horse 2 axle trailer what will become our new pressure washing rig. It’s been gutted, painted… it’s ready… but I still have to take everything out of the old much more Awkward trailer: The trailer is 12 feet long with a shelf in the front Underneath is a compartment I feel would be great for water tanks. 240-300gal (max) I want to take advantage of the doors on the side and the height. Any ideas?

As far as the water tanks in the front go, You need to keep those close to the axles. Even at 250 gallons thats 2,000# and you don’t want that much on the tongue.

It’s a short trailer 12 x 6 9x6X8 of USABLE space,

From the research I have doing, this is what I was thinking of changing and Additional doors at access points.

I would cut the top off. Get rid of all the extra weight

I second what @Firefighter4hire said about cutting the top off. Either way you really need to paint it before you start installing everything.

The nice things about those trailers is they are sturdier than a standard cargo trailer. THe lock box on the outside is a nice idea, since you have space with the wheel covers.

I don’t know what it weighs empty, or what it is rated for, but water is 8.34 lbs a gal, and SH is 10 a gal, so your fluid load is 2400 lbs roughly, not countinganything else. You probably won’t ride around with 240, but if full at job site… I think their load limits are calculated on two adult horses with gear, can’t be much more than that.

Agreed…
Already cutting wt.

Wanting as many shelves, doors, access points as possible

I’m wanting to moving everything out of this tank that I can barely pull that is no more than 5.5ft tall

And move it into here in the most efficient way possible. This trailer is 6’9 from the trailer floor.

You’re going to have to come up with a catchy name or slogan to match that trailer.
“Straight from the horse’s mouth, we offer no bull cleaning. Just ask your neigh-bors!”

Lol…That’s the best one.

Hahah, that’s pretty clever. You mind if I use it for some of my marketing material? My town has a lot of horse farms.

Absolutely, use them as you please! I can accept Venmo for my royalties!!

:joy: If it really wins me customers, I probably will be sending you a gift card or something, hahah
