Opinions/thoughts Needed on Business Direction

Want to bounce some options off you guys…
Recap: I run a part-time business cleaning new construction houses in 4 neighborhoods in conjunction with the house cleaning that my wife runs. Great rapport and reputation with builders (they want me/us to take on more neighborhoods). I have a guy running my truck during the week and pay him 30% of each job which works out to be about $20/hr. All my equipment is paid off (4/4) and the truck is ahead on payments. I have $2k in the company bank account and $6400 in scheduled houses with more on the way as they build more.
I am considering building out a trailer capable of commercial washing with a 8/3.5 hot water machine and going after some more business. I have the availability to book more work and my guy would love to make more money.
Question: Should I build it first so I can demonstrate the capability or get the contracts first and make up some excuse why I can’t start immediately? Or…should I not “rock the boat” and be happy with around $2k extra each month for doing nothing more than keeping the equipment running until the truck is paid off?
WWYD?
P.S. I have a full time job that I am not thrilled with but pays very, very well.

Get the equipment. Work is always out there and way more than any one company can do. Get the best equipment if you buy, beg, borrow or steal.

That’s exactly right. Where most screw up is they get into this business expecting immediate results and when it doesn’t happen they’re out.
