Opinions on machine

Exhaust shouldn’t be an issue; point the exhaust out the back and of course have it open when running. Lot’s of guys run theirs in enclosed trailers.

Gotcha will do. Thank you

Do you think that would be an issue with concrete? Or is 2200 too low? I plan on doing residential only btw

I was worried about the same thing before I got my 5.5gpm but the psi is more than enough when surface cleaning concrete. You would rarely wanna go any higher than that. And I’m running 200 ft of hose.

Okay awesome thank you. What pressure washer do you have?

I have this unit from PWP…

Paired it with the 16" whisper wash ultra clean and I’ve been happy with the performance of both.

That’s literally the exact machine I was looking at. It was recommended by the list made for beginners by the nice people on this forum and it’s not a bad price tbh. What size buffer tank do you have? And I was thinking about ordering the plumbing set they have off the website i was curious if you did the same or not

The pressure is fine bud, don’t forget we work with chemicals as well not just pressure.

Okay will do thank you for your time. I just thought i read somewhere that for concrete the psi had to be higher… I’m just trying to make sure I buy everything right ya know? I swear I’ve looked at 1000 machines by now. Which is good I’m taking in all the advice I can there’s just so much going on and on top of all this I’m figuring out the insurance and marketing it’s quite a process like you all know I just have been getting overwhelmed luckily everyone on here has been nice enough to steer me in the right direction. I swear if I didn’t find this forum I’d have a direct drive great value electric portable with aaa pump used on eBay because the psi was high and that’s all that mattered

I run the 35 gallon buffer tank from tractor supply like stated above. Never drops below full when using the hudson float valve.

And yes, this was my first buffer tank setup so I purchased the plumbing kit out of convenience. It came with everything I needed to properly plumb everything together plus extra fittings, and hose lines just in case. After studying the plumbing diagram on their website and a couple short youtube videos, plumbing my setup was a breeze.

Right okay sorry and I’m also new with the whole buffer tank thing as well… it’s completely gravity fed right? Like no external pump? I read that the belt driven machines “pull” the water I was double checking that. And i don’t know if I’m making sense but with the buffer tank plumbing that you bought does it come with everything that recirculates the water back to the buffer tank when the wand isn’t in use? I just wanted to get everything straight. Thank you again for helping me out

Correct, no external pump. Just the belt drive machine pulling from the tank. And yes this kit includes the bypass line to run the water back to the buffer tank. The yellow hose in the photo is for the bypass. Blue hose is your drain line.

To give you an idea. This is how I currently have it all plumbed together

Awesome thank you so much that’s a huuuuuuuuge help. Especially because I’m looking at the exact same machine. Are you a full timer? And one more thing, did you have to modify the tank by cutting holes or anything for the bypass hose?

Yes, I’m full-time but this is my first year in business so it wasn’t long ago I had all of the same questions you have. This forum was my number one resource when getting started as well.

Yes I had to cut a couple holes in the tank for the bulkhead fittings. Was pretty easy using hole saw on my drill.

Dude it’s been a life saver. And once I get the ball rolling I’ll do the same to someone starting out as well. Didn’t you get your hoses and hose reels from the same website? And okay just making sure so. I’m going to literally have the same set up but I’m the back of my truck

Bought 200 ft of grey pressure-pro hose from tractor supply.
450ft capacity, GP pressure hose REEL from pressure washers direct.
100ft flexzilla garden hose and the steel garden hose reel from amazon.

Of course man, glad we could help.

I understand your thought process, we’ve all been there at some stage, key things to note is that you can clean anything you will ever want to clean with a decent machine between 5.5-8 gpm and pressure between 2000-3000 psi with a realistic usable amount of 3/8 and some understanding of chemicals everything else is just personal preference.

Okay thank you I appreciate it. I’m ordering the 5.5 this week I’ll share my setup when it’s finished! Thank you

Order your hose from them too, cheaper than local probably.
