I"m pretty sure mines not, got a cat on my 4gpm, with just male plug coming out unloader. Will look at closer tomorrow and see what unloader is on it. But guess it depends on what model unloader he has. All the cat unloaders in their catalog have NPT.
IThe orifice isn’t the check valve, I know the difference. Worked on many a carburetor over the years.
I removed the orifice, thus bypassing any venturi effect the stock injector would have, so essentially it’s now just a tube.
I could get off my butt and thread on a male QC I have lying around and find out. BRB.
Nope, he’s right…proprietary threading. Definitely not NPT.
10-4. I’m not making fun. Someone said check valve. What new injector are you buying ?
You’re probably right. If his unloader is an annovi reverbi I’d be comfortable making a bet his weird threads are british thread/pipe/parallel or metric parallel.
If yours is a gp unloader it’s probably all npt.
@dcbrock where are you located? If you can find a male QC to male British thread pipe parallel (I think is what it’s called) and a metric M22 to male QC I’d bet one of them thread right into your unloader.
Ahhhh.
Bet it’s metric - in their catalogue they have injectors listed as M18*1 on the inlet side and 3/8npt on the outlet
Then @squidskc nailed it. Go to a hydro shop and get a new fitting. Problem solved. And the removed orfice will help you in gpm,but you won’t be able to DS
There it is. You probably have a m18 to male QC then I’d bet.
And oh snaps… just looked at the pic again. The unloader is built into the pump… which blows my AR/GP theory to hell, and I was only 4 M’s off of M18.
I’d still do away with the old one completely. Serving no purpose.
Looking more and more like I can’t downstream with this machine, unless I can snap on an injector to the existing one.
I hope he doesn’t fall for the big gulp $60 allison like I did when I was new. Gp high draw is all I buy now for $15.
Nope. @Racer found your golden ticket. Lose the old injector. Find an M18* 1male to male QC or M18 1 male to npt and you’re off to the races homie. Easy fix now that you’ve got numbers. It’ll be worth it the first time you don’t have to lug buckets.
Yes you can. Take that fitting to a hydro shop like @squidskc said.
I’ll try, Louisville can be difficult when it comes to ‘specialty’ items.
Louisville Where
I’m an hour from Walmart or alike, in the middle of nowhere . Use that amazon prime. He did you’re research for ya .
You’ll be fine. There’s a ton of hydro shops near you. And now you’ll know where to go buy whip lines and get your hoses fixed when they blow.
Crap, just call Southside Equipment if your in Louisville Ky. They may have, if not, can sure tell you best place to go. One of the 3 biggest distributors around. If I lived in Louisville, they’d ban me. I’d be hanging around their shop all the time just to learn stuff.
Nice work gentleman, ya’ll are like PW rain men,or PW jeopardy. Impressive. Wealth of knowledge here on the PWRA
Squid’s the master at finding misc stuff
