Try them, maybe they’ve gotten better or they found a new supplier. What would happen is I guess the internal seals would go… You could pump the heck out of it but then it’d just dribble, even if you could get it to pressurize. And just not using bleach. Degreaser, acids, plant wash, whatever they just didn’t last.
I use the same ones as Bill if I can find or the Ace bleach sprayer, which Chapin makes. I also buy some of the Irontron when they’re on sale. The Irontron don’t have any kind of pressure relief valve, so you have to be careful with them, depending on what’s in them. They’re slightly better than the HDX but they shoot further than any other pump up I’ve seen.
