One gallon Home Depot HDX pump sprayer - $5

These are normally $10. So it’s a good opportunity to stock up for the season.

I ordered through the app. And I chose local pick-up. You could also have them shipped for a small fee. (And while many stores have the discounted price, it says that some will not.)

They suckered me in on those a year or so ago with a screaming hot closeout price. They are truly disposable. Think I bought about 10 of them. Within 4-6 months they were all gone. I hate it because normally I like the HDX products.

This is the best pump sprayer I have ever used. I never rinse it and I get a year out of them. Only 1 gallon though.

That’s a bummer.
And even though they have warranties it’s not worth the time for the little they cost.

Try them, maybe they’ve gotten better or they found a new supplier. What would happen is I guess the internal seals would go… You could pump the heck out of it but then it’d just dribble, even if you could get it to pressurize. And just not using bleach. Degreaser, acids, plant wash, whatever they just didn’t last.
I use the same ones as Bill if I can find or the Ace bleach sprayer, which Chapin makes. I also buy some of the Irontron when they’re on sale. The Irontron don’t have any kind of pressure relief valve, so you have to be careful with them, depending on what’s in them. They’re slightly better than the HDX but they shoot further than any other pump up I’ve seen.

You’ll get $50 worth of use out of them but probably not $60. LOL.

Hopefully they found a new supplier because when I did mine they were calling it a closeout sale and then I didn’t see them for awhile. Let us know. That’s a great price.

@Racer your right those are garbage. I bought 3 for my wife to spray vinegar in and they all broke in less than 5 uses each. We keep destroying The regular little chemical hand sprayers from Home Depot. What I figured out is that when you are done with them you need to rinse them out just like you would a 12 V pump. Except the hdx ones would probably get ruined using just DI water lol

I get this exact one from Lowe’s. Same thing, never have rinsed it. Usually keep 50/50 of 12.5% in it.

Those Chapin sprayers are great. I have a couple 2 gallons and just got a 3 gallon, which comes with a carry strap. All replaceable parts and a pressure release valve make them very worthwhile.

the product description says that they aren’t good for bleach, acids, sealers, , etc etc. I don’t know why anyone would buy one except for a throwaway sprayer, then I can see that logic.

  • Do not use with: flammable products (gasoline, diesel fuel, hydraulic oil, etc.), hot or boiling liquids, products containing acetone/acetate/acetic acid (paint thinner, some concrete sealers), highly viscous (thick) materials (tar, high-solid paint or stain, paint and stains, products containing chlorine (bleach, pool water, etc.), strong acids or bases, strong solvents, lacquers or lacquer thinners, turpentine, Epsom salt, mineral spirits, vinegar, citrus-based cleaner, products containing peppermint oil or peanut oil

Thanks man! Got myself 4 :+1:

I went back to the Chapin after getting tired of the Walmart sprayers not working. One season they seemed great next season I had multiple that wouldn’t work right out of the box. I have a Chapin that is 3 years old and still working. I also picked up a 1.5 gallon Flo master that is designed for bleach. We’ll see how it works.

Those are all we will ever buy, order 7 new 2 gallon ones every year from menards. But yours are more fancy

I wish I could find this exact one in 2 gallons.

I use to by Flowmaster from Home Depot. They only lasted a couple of months. They use to have a warranty. I got them to send me a new hose and gun once. That didn’t last more than two months.

I bought this off Ebay and it’s been working great so far with 50/50 SH mix in it. It has Viton o-rings and seals.

Alright! You have 120 days to go to match the value of the one @Clean_Blue linked. Or, do you mean it died on you after 3 days? Because, that is no bueno… :joy:
