Looks like you beat me to it…
Any Warren & Sweat “Rifleman’s” ? I will buy all you have ?
I think i might. I know so have plywood seats. Its pooring down rain. Im about to go out to the barn and look.
Have have about 4 more along with a deer wagon in the boat garage storage room but couldn’t get the lock open. Alao have some still hanging on the tree in the woods.
Heres what i normally hunt in
If its nice weather i like hunting in my single and double seater ladder stands feels like you can see and hear more.
Deer cleaning station
Fish cleaning station
And ill save yalls breakfast and not post the gut pit lol
I see one I believe , last picture hanging on right [seat & backrest] & base directly below. I love those, lightest for those uphill 3 mile hikes. I have 8 that only come out of the woods when plywood need replacing. I know what you mean about the tree lounge very comfortable too much so as I will fall asleep for hours. I found a similar climber that is just as comfortable but heavy “Deer Crossing Tree stands” in Florida. Would you ship the one ?
Sure. Ill look for a box when i go into work today that it will fit in.
I fell asleep in mine a few times lol. One time the stupid small bottom part fell and slid all the way down the tree. I had to hug the tree, kick my top part to make it fall and slide down the tree like a fireman:joy:
i now make sure both piece of my climbers are tied together.
I spent 45 minutes on a job looking for my gun with lance and the m5. I’m looking all thru the yard, in bushes, etc. I found it. Sitting in plain sight on top the the machine air filter. I would have left it if it wasn’t the m5
That’s what I am talking about. I’ll take my glasses off while doing IT work. Sometimes takes me 10 or 15 minutes to find 'em!!!
I went through that daily until I bought one of those cords so I can just pull them off and let them hang around my neck
What in the world are you talking about?
Welds will break if if they are over 10 yrs
Old? Or left out? HUH?
Ok ill try again for ya, pretty simple… Welds can/will break in time. I wouldn’t, and dont, trust anything (climbing tree stands) that is close to 10 yrs old, give or take. If left out regularly mother nature isnt normally a friend on metals, thus shortening the life. Therfore spending $2-300 every decade or so is a lot cheaper than having your family pay for a funeral. Now, obviously this is all my opinion… proper maintence and inspection if said product is a smart thing to do.
I do have a Lone Wolf hangon that is pretty old, and i love it… its older, but almost all the hardware will have been replaced before before it gets to the point of failure.
Ever found a hunting buddy dangling from a tree cause the welds on bottom half of climber gave way 15 ft up a tree?
If you need further explaination please feel free to ask.
I had a brand new climber break in me when I was about 10 foot up a long time ago. Fell flat on my back. Was young and dumb and didn’t wear a harness.
It was a “hunters view” brand.
My dad took it back to the store and threw a fit about it and walked out with a half dozen ladder stands for free.
Yeah ladder stands are the way to go… that or ill use my hang on.
I love my climber but I really like my Barnett ground blind. Throw in a heater and a cooler and I can really show Blaire who’s boss when she kicks me to the curb!
I get the part about safety, but a weld is as strong or stronger than the steel around it. There are quite a few planes, ships, cars, equipment, buildings still around with welds over 10 years old :). I’ve been in homemade climbers as old as me that are as safe as a new store bought one.
Thank you mr bystander.
With all due respect, that is one the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. Never in the history of EVER has a weld failed because it was old. Or been left outside.
From 2006- 2012 I was welding natural gas pipelines all over the country, now the ones I made in 2006 are technically 13 yrs old tomorrow, I rekin there is quite the danger I left behind, some of those pipelines have close to 2000psi flowing a few million cubic feet a day, so those welds are a few years overdue for failure!,LOOK OUT AMERICA!!!
I did some anomaly work in Missouri for panhandle eastern, that pipeline was installed in the late1920’s, and was welded with ACETYLENE torches!!! NEVER saw a failed weld due to being old.
I do agree and misspoke, welds last very long and welds may not be the issue. I was not trying to say 10 yrs and welds are toast but the stands that I’ve seen fail have been at welds where stuff has either rusted or gave way.
Regardless my point being new stands are cheap and those 20 yr old treestands for $20 on Criaglist that ole Wilber left out for years on a tree dont exactly scream safe to me.
