Oilfield washing

I’ve been in the oilfield for about 7 years now starting from rock bottom back when I started to now being in a much better position. Through the time I’ve been in I’ve accumulated a great base of contacts throughout Texas and have with my partner finally started our own oilfield services company. One of the things we would like to offer is drilling rig washing, to go along with our fleet washing and location washing/remediation jobs. I’ve been reading around and researching on this website a bit and seems like this is the place to be, tons of great info and lots of knowledgeable folks here. But I have looked for a thread talking about drilling rig washing and haven’t been able to find much of anything on that, so my question would mainly be is there anyone on here with experience/knowledge in this area? Any and all help/advice would be greatly appreciated, chemicals/degreasers used, best washers to use, GPM/PSI to run. We’re looking at running 4 wands at 4GPM 3500 PSI from 2 Alkota washers for rig wash jobs, also if I’m way off on that please let me know what would be a better option. Thanks in advance for any help.

Before my power washing buisness I worked for a drilling company generally the floor hands on the rig will spend 2 or 3 days out of their week power washing and maintaining these rigs these companies are generally very strict on outsiders coming in unless it’s for some immidate emergency repairs.

Right, I know they keep the floor cleaned pretty much at all times. Before we slowed down in 2014 each rig would have to have a full wash done and they always used third party, usually every other drill or some every move I guess it’s at the company mans say. I’ve got several drilling contacts and in pretty well with a few just kinda not sure the systems the wash guys had been using and what they were cleaning with. It’s a good gig, but like you say we pretty much call it the brother in law system around here. If you don’t know somebody or know somebody that knows somebody they’ll have you packing bags and kickin rocks real quick.
