Off brand air diaphragm pump?

After deciding to switch to an air setup this year ive been putting off ordering a diaphragm pump as i went down the list of equipment we needed but it has come down to order time. Ive seen prices all over and seen everything from all-flo, aro, flo-jet recommended. I was hoping to find something slightly used for a good price and stumbled across this “off-brand name” 13gpm pump with a 2 year warranty for a super low price! Has anybody ever used one of these pumps? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Air-Operated-Double-Diaphragm-Pump-1-2inch-Outlet-Low-Viscosity-Petroleum-Fluids/352548655339?hash=item52158990eb:g:ejcAAOSwektcGeqm:rk:8:pf:0 Anybody have any suggestions on where else to look? Not looking to spend $1,000 on a pump yet, would like to dial in a setup and make sure we like the air better than 12v system before i dig in deeper. Appreciate any feedback!

  • Warning!

Not suitable for acid, alkali and other corrosive liquids.

Good catch! Any suggestions on where to get a lightly used pump? I had a lead on an all-flo but got sold before i could purchase

Perhaps EBay, Craigslist, FB used equipment groups.

What about this one?

It says its made out of Polyethylene with a Santoprene diaphragm. Polyethylene is pretty decent at being all around chemically resistant (Polypropylene Chemical Compatibility Chart).

I had to look up santoprene, but it seems to be fairly resistant to SH https://www.salhydro.fi/files/PDF/SantopreneChemicalResistance.pdf

And the bolts look like 304 stainless, which is better than I expected.

I’m always weary of tools and equipment that is designed in China. If its a clone of a quality brand, it might be fairly decent. I’m really curious how these things might perform!

(Edit: I just looked at the dimesions, and the pump might be comically small)

At 137 I don’t think you could go wrong if you get a few months out of it.
