Not sure if brilliant marketing or vandalism?

What do you think the ethical implications of this are?

Lots of guys do it. I think it trespassing and graffiti if done without permission

I think it’s brilliant for a demo ( and with permission).

It’s easy to make.

Is it a stencil? Because we’re trying to schedule a demo with a sizable local chain gas station that has 90 stores in the Kansas City area and I’d love to leave one of these behind.

This is the kinda gig that I’d have to hire 2-4 people to work 6 nights a week, and build a truck specifically for flatwork and grease/oil to do them all quarterly.

Finally got the number to the regional guy who approves subcontractors last week.

Man I’d love to leave that behind while they “decide”.

Yep. I could knock one out in minutes and send it to the printer, cut it out, then lay it on a new material that’s durable, stencil it on, then cut it out. Done.

It is a stencil. This was floating around on one of the FB groups not to long ago I forget who was making them though.

I think it’s pretty cool but I also think it could backfire and piss someone off. I know if it was my property I would not be happy to find it, even though It still think it’s cool.

Its not vandalisim, because you removed dirt. If someone had a cow you could easily erase it. Its not like he spray painted it or etched it into the surface… What’s the difference between that and putting up illegal yard signs?

I pull up illegal yard signs  They stick them all over the entrance to my neighborhood. Good targets

You can’t swing a dead cat around here without hitting someone’s yard sign… To make matters worse a lot of them are hand made so you can’t even tell want they say… Just ugly

I don’t see it as vandalism but I personally wouldn’t go around doing it without permission. I think if I came home to that on my driveway, I might be calling that company but not for a quote… If a customer wanted a demo and I did that as a final touch I think they would appreciate the “signature” but beyond that it’s intrusive when not expected.

Photoshop if you ask me. I don’t think you could get that resolution with a pressure washer. And the stencil of the little dude would have too many small parts with nothing holding them.
