Nonmarking Hoses?

Ive ventured into detailing RVS. I need a high pressure hose that is like cloth or nylon covered as to not scratch while we are on the roof. The traditional wire braided nonmark hoses actually mark an rv or boat. Any product recomendations?

thanks guys

I cant remember what this was called but someone on the forum either did or still uses this

What do you consider high pressure for what you do?

That’s called nylon sheath. That practice is commonly used as a safety buffer for high pressure line bursts, not really suited to dragging on the ground all day. Probably not a bad idea for RV cleaning work as hose lengths don’t need to be very long I would imagine.

Maybe just run your hose through a pool noodle or pipe insulation and let rest on the edge while you’re up there

Pool noodle? Is that like one of these things?

SAE100R5 hose has a textile cover but it won’t net you decent operating pressure ratings like SAE100R1 hose.

Thompkins Protec makes a nylon hose sleeve that would suit your needs. Just cable tie it on your last 25’ or so

Protec Nylon Hose Sleeve. Self-renewing, abrasion-resistant fabric sleeve meets ISO 6945 abrasion standards and has MSHA IC 171/1 flame resistance approval. Protects hydraulic hoses and provide limited burst and containment protection. Woven from thousands of nylon filaments, as it is scuffed and worn, its filaments frizz, forming an even thicker, more protective shield. This smooth-bore sleeve is easily installed over hose, chains, cables or springs and may be secured with nylon cable ties or band-clamps. Ends should be heat sealed to prevent fraying.

I’d run the 0.9" I.D.

You’re welcome!

Exactly. They’re pretty useful little buggers. I use them on PVC sticks to jug for catfish.
