No spill/drip couplers?

What are any of you using for SH couplers for truck tank fill lines? I was using some great dripless ones from US Plastics, but haven’t been able to get any in 6+ months, and they’re starting to get busted. If anyone has anything good, I" may change over my system to something new. We used to use banjo camlocks, but they leave a mess everywhere…

Mine is plumbed from a ball valve to a nipple for the hose. The hose is kinda permanent

wait, BALL VALVE?!?

I assume you mean the fill hose on the truck is permanent. Ours are too, I’ve been using these on the tank side, with the matching nipple on the truck’s hoses (about 3’ running into the top of the 100gal tank)

No, the hose on the tank side is permanent. I don’t have a fancy system. Couple of elevated 250 gallon tanks that gravity feed to the trucks

@Firefighter4hire has a really nice one he uses that is guaranteed to not spill more than a drop or 2. It’s called a Dry Poppet by Banjo. I was going to get one but forgot about it. Here’s a link:

I do use that exact same one. I love it. They are expensive bit they do not drip

Price is not that bad…my US Plastics ones are almost $70 per part. I assume you’d also put the male on the truck side, since it has less moving parts and is a tad cheaper?

Do you run a full 1", or reduce it? I’m running 3/4 Kuritec hose for this, and figure I’ll just screw in a barb.

I don’t care what things cost time is money and having to spend time cleaning up drips or replacing fittings more often will eventually be worth less than coming up with $100 for something like that. That’s why I have electric reels for all three of my hoses at the end of a long day I’m not gonna reel all that up by hand. It’s ridiculous and 40 now!

We run a 1 inch pipe from a FT pump.

Do you just hang the truck end off a fill hose whip, or do you use some kind of fancy bracket on the trucks? I’m looking at these thinking they look almost made to be set into an aljminum bracket (maybe between hose reels) so one can just click the female onto them with the tank side hose…

We make a fancy bracket. Thats easy for you since your in my backyard. You need to come see the other type i have they may benefit you.
