Newbie Here - Soft Washing Advice Needed

I didn’t realize that asking someone for help would be such a pain. There is no such thing as a stupid question when it comes to gaining a better understanding of a field. Sorry I don’t know everything - this is why I came on this forum. If you don’t have anything beneficial to say, just move on.

You are so wrong on this lol. Plenty of stupid questions asked on a regular basis. We have all given you beneficial advice. Don’t be lazy. Research.

I think the folks who taught “no such thing as a dumb question” are the same who handed out “we’re all winners” participation trophies to everyone at the end of a ball season, in which no one ever kept score.

Hotshot nailed it. Believe it or not the guys telling you to research are doing you a huge favor. Everyone who comes here has no idea how little they know until they start reading through old posts. That sometimes even goes for people who have been washing for years. Search one question and you’ll come away with answers to questions you didn’t even realize you needed answers to. The best thing you can do for your business is to start reading through as many old threads as you can. You’ll find threads about equipment, chemicals, marketing, uniforms, guns, injectors, etc, etc, etc. Heck, there’s even one about the most comfortable underwear to wear. Although, you won’t find me paying that kind of money for a pair.

Exactly. It’s amazing what you’ll learn that you didn’t even know you didn’t know! This site is the equivalent of a graduate education in pressure washing and business.

Well depends on what definition of soft washing you use… pressure washer with m5, xjet, jrod or variable nozzle is technically “soft washing” . 12v, air diaphram, pressure mounted engines with “soft washing” pumps is also “soft washing” .

The big difference is basically how hot you want your mix. Pressure washer with downstream injector with the freshest bleach you can find will be basically useless for roof cleaning or for really black, caked on mould/algae thats been sitting there for years, great for washing siding or light to med algae/mold. 12volt or other “non pressure washer soft washing” equipment you can basically run 100% SH if you wanted to.

Now up here in the pacific northwest i think the best solution is having downstreaming and a 12v or air set ups. We live in a very wet and moist enviroment and sometimes we need some strong a** SH to get some caked on mould/algae… and dont even get me started with moss which is natures carpet… whole different beast ha ha ha

theres a guy here on the northwest, around bellingham whos very very knowledgable (IMHO) and seems to want to help peeps who want to learn.
