New Website, Please let me know your thoughts?

Recently we developed Tip Tops website using the new Google sites and would like some professional feedback on what people think and how we could improve it. Below is the address.

It has some random capitilaztion errors and some lies.

I think it looks great!! Does your contact form go straight to your customer software?? We just had the customer factor contact form added to our websight this last year and we loved it. I would have the phone number smaller and try to direct them to the contact form 1st. I’m just an owner operator so I don’t have time to be answering calls all day while I’m working lol. If you have an office staff to answer all your calls then good for you!

can you please be more specific about where you have seen these errors and lies. Appreciate all the help and feedback

Site looks good. Slider image up top looks like it’s somewhere out by Telluride in the San Juan’s. I would think something more fitting for your local area would be better and more relevant.

Only the first word in a sentence needs to be capitalized unless it is a proper noun or a few other exceptions. Your capitalization is kinda random. Below are 2 quotes from your site that aren’t factual.

It has been proven that soft washing is a much safer and effective way to wash. It will greatly increase your curb appeal by leaving a shine like finish.

Algae growth begins to eat away at your homes roof in which deteriorates the shingles and causes the protective granules to come loose. This process will shorten the lifespan of your roof by 30%. Also, the deterioration caused by the algae growth or a roof with black streaks will not heat properly which causes hot pockets of air to form in your homes attics space.

In result the hot pockets of air cause your home’s heating and cooling system to work much harder and less efficient when being used because of inconsistent air temperatures.

Haha yeah… unless there are sources to legitimate research on that that’s fraudulent.

I appreciate the feedback a lot. I come from a small historic town and it would make so much more sense to have a picture that identifies the local area.

**Thank you for the feedback. Any feedback regarding the website it is extremely important, especially information that you stated above not sourcing someone else’s information properly. I am aware than when you use factual information such as, “IT HAS BEEN PROVEN,” you must site the source of the information or “yes” it is fraudulent. **
**This was the first time I had ever considered putting my own website together and if it came out perfect, then I’m probably in the wrong line of work. However, once I began working with the “new google sites,” I started to pick it up pretty quickly. I feel as if I have a little too much content within the site and after 2-3 months of building the site I figured I would publish it and fix it moving forward. \

I appreciate you taking the time to read the site and will source any information that I did not write word for word properly. Please understand I had no intention of copyrighting other peoples work.

As for the capitalized words in weird places, I will fix as well. I did 90% of the designing and building the website late at night after working long days.
Thanks again for the feedback and I will change the parts you pointed out within 24 hours.

P.S. if you see anything else on the site do not hesitate to let me know.

Hey

Your home page is way too long. Like waaaaaaay too long.

Your first call to action is too small and poorly set out.

Get rid of that “Made By Google Sites” in every footer.

The text is justified in some paragraphs and centered in others. Centered would look better for all.

Those bullet points - align them or lose them.

Text is in bold, then not.

Your viewports aren’t set correctly for mobile, tablet and desktop viewing.

Have you submitted this for indexing yet? Have you made Google fetch and render the site?

@Tiptop18
I’m more of a buyer than a professional in this case. Here are my comments regarding your home page.

  1. I don’t get the background picture on your homepage. A barn with a waterfall? How is that about your company?

  2. On the homepage " Call Tip Top Soft Washing today for a FREE ESTIMATE or any questions regarding exterior cleaning an/or restoration."…pretty sure you meant to say “and/or”

  3. On the homepage " We are more than happy to answer any questions regarding our services or most importantly anything that could help keep your property in “Tip Top” shape."…you want a comma after or…then after importantly.

  4. Under residential services…you have me wondering what the difference is in cleaning and washing. You do “roof and house washing” …but gutter, window, and solar panel cleaning. I get the difference when you are talking about brightening, but cleaning and washing???

  5. Still on homepage, you said “services in Hunterdon County, Somerset County, Morris County, Mercer County and surrounding areas.”…for ease of read why don’t you change that to Hunterdon, Somerset, Morris, Mercer counties, and surrounding areas"

  6. “As a local business we take extreme pride in our services offered to all residents, neighborhoods and businesses shows by our dedication to the work we do”…you meant “As a local business we take extreme pride in the services offered to all residents, neighborhoods, and businesses; which is shown by our dedication to the work we do”

  7. Lots of comma issues in that Exterior cleaning blue section.

  8. “The quality of our workmanship is professional and dependable”…you CAN have quality workmanship. You can NOT have quality dependable.

  9. “Every customer, regardless the size of the project,”…you meant regardless OF the size

  10. “is treated with up-most respect and courtesy they deserve”…the phrase is UTMOST…not up-most

  11. “Most important that the services provided to each client are done with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.”…you meant “Most importantly, the services provided to each client come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee”

  12. " We clean using a low-pressure cleaning process, know as “Soft Washing”."…KNOWN as

  13. " Soft Washing is a detergent based process"…um…my understanding is that soft wash is a Sodium Hypochlorite based process…isn’t it? Or bleach for the common person.

  14. " It not only removes all organic matter, soling, dirt and grime"…nothing can remove ALL organic matter

  15. " We truly want to build a long term relationship with our clients and its starts with providing each customer with completing each project to its full potential."…that sentence is just a mess

  16. Okay, you say " Tip Top Soft Washing is:

  • Licensed & Insured
  • Professionally trained staff
  • Family Owned and Operated
  • Never leave a project until the customer is 100% satisfied
  • Reliable
  • Extremely educated with all services we provide
  • Free Estimates

…but in a bullet point set up like that, if you include the word “is” then you are supposed to be able to put that in front of all the bullet points. So, Tip Top is professionally trained staff; Tip Top is Never leave a project; Tip Top is free estimates…you have some disconnects there.

  1. I for one am a busy person. A pressure washing company is more likely to get my business if we could do this over email. Your request a free estimate doesn’t ask if you would prefer us to contact you by phone or email.

  2. "Maintenance Program Sign Up
Join our maintenance program today by filling out the questions below. We highly recommend to join one of our programs to keep up with your exterior cleaning needs. Most services we offer require a schedule clean for the future in order to keep your property in Tip Top shape. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to speak to a representative and find out what your needs are. Thank you very much for choosing Tip Top Soft Washing and we promise 100% satisfaction. "

…read that paragraph OUT LOUD

Brother, spend the money on a legit website. Before a truck wrap, before 1000s of dollars in Eddm, before anything. It’s going to change the game for you as far as ranking and professionalism, and you don’t have to do it.

Here is who does ours, we rank #1 in our area. $175 mo. Will pay for itself easy. #1 ranking site.

Post it or it didn’t happen.

Not sure I’d use someone who doesn’t exist on a “website design Nashville” Google search themselves?

I think the anyomous guy is Nashville clean but I’d ignore him until he introduces himself

You pay $175 for the web site maintenance and updates or $175 for SEO, or $175 for both?
