New trailer build- enclosed to open trailer

Just finished up my open trailer. Fits in the garage nicely so no more paying Monthly rentals. Thanks to all for your threads that I have been reading for the past year.

Built a 6x12 enclosed trailer last March and just redid everything. Added a bigger 12v 7gpm softwash system and thanks to you razor for the idea of hanging the reels!

Nice. That’s a great looking setup. Also, I like how organized your garage is. Well done, sir.

Looks great man! Good job! Couple questions because I am a newbie though, why do you have 2 proportioners? Do you chemical wash with high pressure? And what is the purpose of the shutoff valve on the end of your flexzilla hose? Is that your water supply line?
(I’m not questioning anything you’re doing, just trying to learn)

Ones for soap and the other sh. The shutoff on the hose is so it’s stays full so it doesn’t kink

I am afraid that SH will eat that coxreel really soon.
It’s not SS steel and you can never rinse a hose reel clean

Got an extra one from amazon anyways, but I do rinse very well after each use.

Looks good, you might have issues with all that pvc though. It has a tendency to crack, especially on a open trailer, between the sun and road travel, just a thought if you start having problems, change it out.

I have coxreel. In fact, I have three on my trailer.
I don’t use coxreel for SH because it’s not stainless steel. I use Titan instead. And I am even thinking about bypassing the reel. Just use reel for storage only.
As I said, you can never rinse a hose reel clean. No matter how “well” you rinse.
See the attached photo. How do you expect to rinse the circled area? Water will not flow freely in that area. You always have some residue SH sitting in there. I bet you can see a section of brownish water every time you prime your chem hose, right? Well, that’s rust. How long do you think it will last? My stainless steel Titan got eaten through within 1.5 years… With coxreel, I’d say, 6 months, maximum.

Never had problems in the enclosed but trailer is always in the garage when not in use. But will look out for any issues. I used a lot more flexible pipe for this trailer vs the last!

Looking for a way to mount the surface cleaner to the side.

Have mine like this, pretty simple but works well.

Haha, I like the A-frame sign? Did you have it made locally?

I’ve been using Cox reels for over a year and haven’t had any issues. Maybe just lucky😁
