New to the business in Tennessee

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Nick and I am starting a new pressure washing business in East Tennessee. I dont see many people doing this type of work in this area. I have done pressure washing before so I know the process just never worked for myself. I am starting out with a smaller machine but it should be enough to get started. I am getting a 4gpm 4000psi machine with 275 gallon tank and 20HP Honda. I have used this exact machine in the past and really like it. I plan on putting this setup in the back of my pickup for a couple reasons. This area has a lot of houses that would make it hard to get a trailer to. Second I plan on doing some equipment and that also would be easier with just the truck. I will have everything paid for starting out so no loans. I am here for advice and will probably have many questionsd al. I think my biggest obstacle is getting people to pay a fair price for the work. There is not a lot of money in this area and I will have to be careful to not price myself out of jobs.

Does anyone see any problems with having the machine in the back of my truck versus on a trailer. If it becomes a problem I have a trailer to put it on just thinking it will be more convenient having it in the truck. I figure that I will most likely not be using the tank much but will have it when I do need it so the weight should be ok. I have a half-ton short bed truck. I took the measurements off of another setup and I will have room and the machine weighs 500lbs so I think that should be fine. Would just like to hear any problems I might have. In the past I have used a 16" trailer with my first machine but was mostly fleet washing. The second machine was on a flat bed. Both had there advantages

Where are you plaining on getting your soaps and supplies

Most likely get supplies from Tractor Supply. Not really any other place to get supplies in the area

http://pressuretek.com/ is an excellent supplier for all kinds of machines, soaps, and supplies. There are others, it’s just that I started out using them and I am really pleased with their products and service.
