New skid day!

Just had a new skid built by c3 skids. 1st fully enclosed truck skid!

is that a surface cleaner rack on the inside roofline?

Looks nice, a little envious, don’t want to know the cost.

Yes it is. It was pricey and the enclosure added quite a bit but honestly when you think of the price of all the equipment and then the amount of time I would need to build out my own rig it really made sense seeing as I didn’t even have the time. And they really did a nice job with this Im pretty excited about it. Just need to finish building it out a little for my needs and put a wrap on it!

So, are you moving away from box trucks then? Or is this just a one off? I liked your box truck, especially with that ladder mount.

No I still love the box trucks but just wanted to try a smaller more efficient setup for our 3rd rig

You will be much happier if you take the top off so the machines can get air and put the pressure reels on the back

I’m going to at least pipe the exhaust out to keep it cooler… I’ll see how we like the setup after the first year before I’m doing any major changes. I like having the space in the back for my extra crap

Got the new truck wrapped!

Looks great!

Your truck looks really nice I love the way they did the skid. It seems like you don’t have any equipment to do softwashing for more than 1% just 2 pressure washers and downstream injectors. I was really excited in 2019 when I upgraded from my 5GPM to 8GPM Pressure Washer, but when I got my AR45 with the Hydromixer XL and remote control for the soap that was a game changer. I remember doing a nasty awning and thinking that it would’ve taken me 4-5 applications if I was downstreaming or had to use a pump up sprayer to get the strength I needed, and was stoked that I could just set it to 4% and do it all in one shot. I also love the gun that I have for the AR, just barely pull the trigger and I can mist lightly and go from cone to stream without needing to change tips or reach over all the time to twist the M5 twist nozzle. But you know what you’re doing and I’m sure if this is your third rig that there’s no point in me telling you this. Just saying after I got the AR45 I actually liked it even more than the Hydrotek SCX30008 I bought prior.

How much did that skid cost you? For my next truck I would like to do something similar…

There is a softwash setup you can see the mix station in the back and it has a 12v 7gpm remco. I’ve built it out more since I got it and the service body is all aluminum and I can fit everything I need in this thing just like my box trucks which is incredible unless I’m doing a sealing job where I need a bunch of sand and sealer and all that so I will pull a trailer for those jobs or use the box truck. But idk how people work with open skids on a regular bed like where do you keep all your extra equipment and chemicals? The skid cost about $32,000 and then an additional $5000 to make it all enclosed which I think is worth it and C3 skids was the only ones willing to do it and this was the first enclosed skid they’ve ever done and they did a great job

You were right about the heat. First hot day here and my machines shutting down. Looks like I’ll be cutting a hole in the roof for some air. Maybe make a sliding hatch or something
