I currently have a brig’s and stranton 550e series motor coupled to a 2200 psi 1.9 gpm pump. In the interest of saving money I am wanting to replace the pump. Any suggestions on what size pump or where I can look to find the answers I need
That engine will be smaller than you would want. A lot of times for the cost of a new pump, you could find a used Honda 390 setup on Craigslist. I found a 390 belt drive last year for $500. I have a friend that just picked one up for $400. This a good time of year to scoop up a deal. Of course you can make anything work for now.

Take the bad pump off, sell the motor for…whatever, and look for a used washer.
