Gotcha! I will change the U. Thanks Racer
You might save $10 max parting it out (I did) but only because everyone was out of stock. I’d order from pressuretek.
Tomorrow I’ll send you the link to where I purchased from if you want it.
Looks better but I’m with IBS on this one. My male is on the exit side and I have a female QD mounted on my reel.
What is the reason for that? I’m new at this, so I’m trying to learn as much from you and others who has been doing this much longer than I.
Because @Innocentbystander says so. Typically, if possible, you want to lead with the male. It probably doesn’t make a huge difference, but I generally do until I get to my ball valve at end of hose.
Thanks
The reasoning I was told is because if you have sections of hose dragging across the ground, having the female and lead could eventually get stuck on a rock, unclip your hose, and cause a disaster. Having the male and lead first reduce is that chance greatly.
I had couplers unfasten twice in breezeways, and they were actually facing the correct way. I don’t use quick connects to join hoses now for that very reason. Running them backwards only makes the problem more likely.
