thanks for that info, the hydraulic shops up here want an arm and a leg for a hose, and they want time to do it.

Try aN auto performance shop

I wasn’t thinking PW at all, I was thinking for my tractor, zero turn, etc. after watching that video I saw streams of glorius dollar bills flying towards me, while the hydraulic shop guys were crying. WIll likely still need them for the hose itself, in a pinch. Living in the sticks has it’s upsides and downsides.

High prices on hydro hose and low prices on red diesel eh @Dirtyboy ?

You can write off the tax that you spent on off road fuel when you file so you won’t have to ever mess with red dyed diesel

Your not crazy. A lot of shops will not repair hoses that they don’t sell or carry due to liability issues so I’m told. I went to four different shops before finding a place to repair mine. Napa wouldn’t touch it

LOL I don’t use off road, or on road diesel, I use home (non winter blend) heating oil because it is the same and the cheapest. I don’t own a diesel truck, so I don’t have to worry about being fined. When they fill my house, I have them put some in the 275 gal tank in the garage too.

I run red fuel all the time in my pw ,farm tractors, farm trucks etc, etc. Red fuel these day are the same as Dot fuel, just dyed for road tax purposes.

Just make sure to put some power service or something in it, the ULSD is bad for older seals, not enough lubricity in it. It was all over the tractor forums for awhile. Not saying powerservice is the best, it is just that I bought the entire shelf of it at home depot when they were clearing it out. I dump it in every tank, and I have some 911 for super cold weather. No block heater on my tractor, have to hit the glow plugs a couple of times when it gets around 10 degrees or colder.
