Hey everyone, sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I am at a dead end. I have a Simpson Machine with a 4GPM AAA pump, I cannot get my new or original guns to draw soap! I have 200” of hose and without the gun attached it will Downstream but as soon as I connect the gun that came with the machine OR the 2 new NorthernTool guns ( Rated for 8GPM) I loose my siphon of chemical… I have no leaks from my Injector (Brand new) , I have no leaks from any of the QC. Please give me a reason why the gun makes the difference Thanks
Nearly everyone uses the same Suttner gun. It’s rated for 12gpm I believe. Try one of those.

Post a pic of the injector and one of your plumbing/setup.
Dummy check: injector pointing the right direction?
Checked the connections from the chemical tank to injector?
Some end up having to under size their injector to get it to pull with 200’ of hose.
Which brand of injector are you using?

Yeah last guy used 1.8 right?
Yeah, he had a GX390 on a 5.5 gpm pump though. That engine is a little small for that pump. I bet the original poster isn’t using a High Draw though. Since he purchased his guns at Northern Tool he probably picked one up from there. He might be able to get by with the 2.1 but I would order both.

Anything from NT is generally crap. They’re 8Gpm guns aren’t 3/8’ inside

3500 psi injector from northern tool , (pressure washer is a 3800) But surely that can’t make the difference?
See I didn’t know that, Hmmmm yeah that’s probably why. Still doesn’t explain why the gun that came with the machine won’t work either tho

Do you have a nozzle in the end of the gun when trying the injector?
The gun might be more for a 2 gpm machine. That injector likely wasn’t made to be able to work with 200’ of hose.
If you can’t figure out the NT injector order the High Draw. Order a 2-3 gpm and a 3-5. See which one works better.

I’ll post a pic hopefully tomorrow. I’m on the east coast so it’s 11:30pm rn. So the DS injector works with 200 feet of hose as long as there is no gun regardless of the soap nozzle. As soon as I attach my Simpson gun that came with the unit, or the new 8gpm gun from northern tool (with the soap tips or without) no suction is made. But I will defiantly order the ST2315 and see if that is the fix. Hey thank you all for the quick response and the help. Much appreciated!!!

Sounds like you might need the 1.8 injector. What size is yours now?
