This is a new construction build that has a lot of dirt on it. I’ve never done new construction more than two or three times, but I want to get in with this builder, so I’d like to know how I can best get this cleaned. Will a regular house wash mix get this clean?
Also, I’ve cleaned black siding once in the past and it was also one of the new construction jobs
that I’ve done and it left hard water stains all over the entire building and was an absolute nightmare, so my experience with new construction hasn’t been great
I’m honestly not sure. I’ve never tested it but I know that our water is pretty hard. I live in Southwest Michigan and there’s a lot of wells out here that have super hard water. Most city water seems to be fine in all the towns I work in
If it’s red clay or stained, the soap recommended by the Hardiback manufacturer is the Northern Tool house wash. We use it a lot in SC to scrub the bottom 3 or 4 boards of new construction house.
Ive always used eacochem products for post construction cleaning. No need for sh at all. Cleansol Bc or Hd Britenol. Britenol really helps make the exterior windows pop.
Cleansol is the opposite end of the spectrum from britenol, so you have to evaluate the types of stains. 90% of the time I run Britenol. I use the same two products to wash my truck and trailer.
Citrus based cleaner and clean water. You need to test TDS. You can find TDS meters on amazon cheap. We use the blue one everyday. Never clean off new well
Have you run into any problems with HD Britenol solo? I did the Cleansol BC and HD Britenol combo and it browned/discoloured the black anodized frames (pretty sure it was the Cleansol as it warns about unpainted metals). Most homes I do here have anodized frames so gonna have to run HD Britenol solo for light/medium dust. There’s also usually stained wood soffits too, is it safe with that as long as it’s diluted well? And what concentration do you personally run. It says ~40:1 but if it’s just HD Britenol wondering if you go stronger. I recently made a post on it, homes are similar to the picture OP posted.
