The unibody cars ain’t worth squat.
95% of cars are unibody. They are a lot safer and stronger than body on frame designs.
I don’t think thatat is true when it comes to towing… But I’m not an engineer so there’s that…,lol. I do know that I had a small accident in one and the insurance basically totaled the car where in the past they would have just put it on a carframe stretcher and then do some quarter panel work…
It’s my trailer and my car. No one has to follow this thread. I appreciate all the concern, but I hurt my back lifting the pressure washer into the back of the car recently. I’d rather do this than quit washing or permanently injure myself and I don’t have cash for a truck so it is what it is.
But again, this is about the trailer, not the car. I’m not building a tow rig or collecting data for Prius towing specs or trying to be unsafe or anything. Just trying to keep washing, give myself some growing room, and not destroy my back.
So just wait for me to start adding equipment and give me your input on that. I’m sure you’ll all have great advice I’d love to hear about the TRAILER SETUP lol.

I won’t be dead. It’ll be the old lady I kill crossing the street because my 1500 pound loaded trailer is going to over power my brakes and I’m going to run her over. At least I’ll have my pressure washer with me to clean up the street.
Do you think those would make good before and after photos for my new website?

Lol
I have also seen people towing 2 jet skis in a Prius. So it is what it is.
For the record I have a Prius V and it is the best car I’ve ever owned. For those who don’t have one, you’d be shocked by how awesome and efficient these cars really are. Extremely well built vehicles to say the least.
But…
I considered getting a hitch and I decided against it because of braking concerns AANNND it might void your warranty. Trust and believe these cars are logging everything with the on board computer and the dealership will know that you’ve been pulling something.
Do what you have to do, build your business and do not be deterred but make it a goal to get a small truck.
Would you guys mind just not replying to this thread any more? You’ve said what you’ve said. You think of me what you think. No hard feelings, but if you want to keep insulting me on this topic, can you please just refrain or talk crap to your friends on the phone or something?
The point of this thread, in my opinion, is to record my trailer build and have discussions about that. Not my car, not towing, not anything. In fact, it could be a showroom trailer that never gets towed anywhere as far as this thread goes.

Ummm. No… You have a great car but it was not designed to be a work vehicle. As long as you post things that is dangerous and other new people can read it then we will post correct information so they don’t follow that advise… Has nothing to do with you as a person or if your car is good or not… Can you see the difference???
