Hey guys. I am new to this forum but not to pressure washers. I am in the market for a 4000 psi, 4.0 GPM gas pressure washer. My old Karcher 2400, 2.5 GPM just does not have the power I need. I have been looking a numerous brands and narrowed it down to either a reconditioned by Simpson model with a Honda motor or the Generac 9488 which is being discontinued. Seems the Simpson has more USA and Japanese parts vs. the Generac who’s pressure washer motors and pumps all seem to be made in China. Any opinions? Both would run me around $700 -$750 with tax and shipping.
Skip it, save your money and get a belt drive unit. Been there, done that.

My opinion is that the magnifying glass above can answer your question for you. Do some research on this forum and read as people have answered these types of questions many times before. You have less than 1 min of read time and posted 10 minutes after you made the account. Start there before you make a thread. Best of luck !

The flag wasn’t based off that, it was based off the “thanks for the stupid response” smart al comment tagged with a quote meant to make someone look “dumb”. It’s negative and disrespectful in nature is it not? Vs the respectful response of “I understand, I have used that function and have not found my answer” since it wasn’t included in the original question. If I am offering advice to someone who appears to have made an account, not read anything, and post questions, I’m going to guide them to research the forum to answer their question and gain more knowledge then just his original question. Based on the info I have been given from his post, that is my response. My response shouldn’t be commented as a “stupid comment” especially Since that’s “my opinion” which is what he requested in his post and I offered farewell with a good luck comment. Thanks for letting me explain first… infinity…
