Need some pointers with car wash concrete

Hello friends.
What product would you recommend to wash this nasty concrete at the carwash? We are trying to avoid using hydrofluoric based detergents. How would you clean this and is it even possible to clean this ■■■■ off without HF?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I recall a recent thread about car washes… I don’t think it mentions HF.

You try sodium hydroxide?

Nothing even remotely legal will remove it. You can make it less slick and lighten it slightly and get rid of surface dirt, but the gray stain comes from where the cars exit the and the brake dust is running off. Penetrates the concrete and pretty much there for life.

I haven’t tried sodium hydroxide yet. I will go there next week. will try hot water and various things, sodium hydroxide, aluminum brightener (contains hf) and muriatic acid.

Been busy with life, so wish i definitely would have seen this earlier. You’re definitely going to want hot water and it depends on how thick that all that run off of debris is.

We did 3,000 sq fr and by the time we were done, their drainage where everything runs off too, there was pond of just that debris no water. About little over ankle deep, 3ft wide, 6ft length.

The degreaser we used worked somewhat but it really just melted the top layer because it was so thick it didn’t penetrate even with dwell time. We ended up doing a turbo nozzle for the whole thing and that worked pretty well.

Couldn’t use a SC because all that gunk would get caught up underneath the SC and clog the holes in the tips.

Wow! How did you remove the pool of gunk? Just shovels and buckets?
