So my day job found out I run a pressure washing business on the side. They asked me about removing some rust that is coming from a leaking gutter. F9 barc takes it right off and they said I could use their genie boom lift so I know I can get it off. Now the plant manager wants a quote for doing that and washing the front of the building. It’s 30 foot walls broke up by windows 1500 feet long roughly. I think it’s sealed concrete with some darker black mold in some areas. I am running a 4 gpm machine with 1:8 downstream and a jrod and shooter tip. Wondering if I could do this job and what I should quote for it. I thought about asking 500 for the rust removal. I don’t plan on cleaning the windows, probably just spray with agent halt and soap and rinse on those. This building is in Arkansas if that makes a difference.
Rick @Racer has a great video about cleaning that style:
I knew Racer had done a full video of that stuff…you beat me to it
That oughtta about cover it…
Get us some close up pics of building
You won’t be downstreaming that, according to Rick’s video.
Reason I’d like to see some closer pics. Mine was extremely dirty. Picture he showed it doesn’t look bad from that distance. Even if not though, they take forever to rinse.
I’ll get some tomorrow at work.
I’d be checking out those panels at the entry too…looks like something similar to Alucabond.
How can you tell the difference?
Can’t really say from a pic, but anything metal like that you’re going to want to get the manufacturer’s info or test
You’ll have fun with that. Can you tell what’s causing the stain? Seems kind of random, definitely getting some runoff from above. Are the gutters clogged?
They are leaking. They are about to repair them. I have some F9 barc for the rust just wasn’t sure about the other stuff.
How much would you charge to remove the rust if they offer to let me use their genie boom?
Kind of hard to tell how much is rust from pics versus just dirt and algae
Agreed, those are metal panels at the entrance. Most likely an aluminum faced composite panel - mostly likely a Kynar paint finish you will want to do some research on before washing - especially with the company logo on the panels.
