NEED HELP! First Job is a Biggie!

So I need some help fellas. I have been asked to give quote for this job. Inside and out. Two buildings. One is a lot smaller like office size with garage. Some of the images are not so good but you get the jist of it. Its a big job. Square footage doesn’t seem to work here because I have to do beams and ceiling as well unless you guys think otherwise. So bid will be by the hour I assume. Also, do you guys just let the water sit inside and let it dry by itself or use a fan? Do you use chemical everywhere or just stained dirty areas? There are cameras around also so do they get covered? What would you guys charge? I am located in Florida. Since I am new, I can only put one image at a time.

Just a noob but I would think sq footage of all surfaces washed would work. I would think you need some floor squeegees and maybe a couple tarps. Don’t under bid it! :slightly_smiling_face:

Not being mean, but You should pass the job to someone else in your area and maybe get a referral check if the other guy gets it. Your not ready for this kind of job.

You dont sound ready for it, hire a pro and get a refferal fee.

Uhhhh, no.

This job is so complex, I don’t have time this afternoon to describe every detail of how you would have to do this job. It’s so complex, from probably renting a scissor lift, to reclaim, to electrical, to chems, to insurance… And more.

Just don’t use ladders to reach stuff inside, please don’t. I was told about a worker who did at a church, he fell and died. Huge investigation ensued, distraught widow, horrible story for the church to deal with.

Where in Florida are you located?

Find a local washer and work together on the project. Great training.

In total agreement with the other comments. Sub it to an established company. Pull hoses, carry buckets, take notes. Way, way, way over anyone’s head for their first job if they are asking whether or not to cover cameras or leave water inside.

You might get the answers you need for those questions, but you’re going to run into 10 other things you weren’t prepared for.

Here are some more pics of job.

Those sodium halide bulbs will explode with just a drop of water on them.

Not to mention all that 3 phase power everywhere just waiting for atomized water in a enclosed steel space to do it’s thing.

The only way to safely and efficiently do the interior walls and ceiling would be with half a dozen guys, minimum 3 lifts, and deck brush the entire thing. Then give 2 of those guys surface cleaners and the rest can squeegee all day.

I don’t see a drain in any of those pics

What if I just did a soft wash on everything but the floors? Less pressure so less water.

What…

Yeah that seems like a good choice… no need getting over your head and not being able to complete a job.

What I am saying is, instead using high pressure especially inside with the lights, electricity, cameras etc, I can soft wash inside because it uses lower pressure. I didn’t have the option before today. Anyways, I have experienced help that will be with me so I am not passing up on a great opportunity.

You are still putting out a really high volume of water. You could easily have 200+ man hours in that job
