Need help? Color turned different color? What do we do?

Pretty much any Sherwin-Williams exterior paint except A-100 can be used on vinyl siding. It does take a couple of weeks to cure, however. If you give it a scratch test the next day, it will scratch right off. The bond forms over time.

The bigger issue with painting vinyl is if you change to a darker color, it will absorb more heat and you’ll have warping issues. SW’s VinylSafe color pallet sidesteps the problem with dark color by substituting completely different spectral power distributions that APPEAR to be the same when all that stuff gets processed in your brain. It’s a pretty cool trick.

Did you ever get this problem resolved and if so how? I have questions about what happened also. So when you left the house the color was a little gray and over time the greenish gray turned mostly gray? @Tiptop18

The siding is oxidized and your house wash mix made the oxidation more obvious and lighter. It happens to dark colored siding. It would have happened to any company. You can remove the grey and bring back the original color by scrubbing the siding with a degreaser. There are numerous threads on how to remove oxidation.
