Need help choosing a new pw

I am replacing a 5.5 with a 8gpm. I will be getting a cold water pressure pro but i’m not sure if I should get 3000 or 3500psi. Another choice I was considering is a poly chain or v belt. It would be used for residential house washing and residential concrete. I am familiar with the v belt units but know absolutely nothing about the poly chain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

3,000 psi is the on we got. It does everything that we need it to do.

General Belt Drive Pump Gen. Pump Pulsar Unloader Valve 8 GPM @ 3000 PSI, GX630 Honda Engine 50’ High Pressure Hose with QC’s Gun and Wand Assembly with QC’s Maxi-Flo Chemical Injector with QC’s Lifetime Frame Warranty - Belt Drive Pressure Washers

I just ordered a 3500/8 from KEC Supplies. Should be here in a few days but I went with that one so I can run longer hose as well as bigger surface cleaners (28"+) down the road.

DONT GET THE POLY CHAIN 8GPM! Get the V belt. You cannot dual feed your pump with the poly chain but you can with the V belt. If you look at the picture you will see that the poly chain runs right beside the pump head. I have a 5.5 poly chain model and I like it because it is more compact and dual feeding a 5.5gpm is not such an issue…and I got it barely used of craigs list for 800.00 bucks. So no complaints. The poly chain system is solid…it turns the pump without complaint and has been for a while now. The Guru’s and powers that be strongly suggest dual feeding your 8gpm.

Lee I went with the poly chain, I talked to several guys about double feeding it, as long as you got atleast a 1" supply feeding it there is no issue. The only benefit I can see in the belt over the chain is being able to work on it yourself changing, adjusting belts or whatever. other than that the chain should last a lifetime. Congrats on your new toy purchase though Brian.,
