Hi Guys, Im wondering if you guys can share with me your methods for cleaning houses with 2 to 4 stories high? I live in an area where Im getting a lot of these houses (rich area) and its taking me forever to get the siding clean. I dont use a ladder to power wash off of but I do use a 18 ft extension. I still cant get those high area very good.
My current process is: pre-soak with Enviro Klean ReVive, let stand for 10 min then rinse. I have a 3500 psi heated unit so I use heat when I rinse. The result is high areas are still dirty.
I am assuming your down-streaming, are you soft washing? If your not, do some research on here and look into soft washing, jrod, and shooter tip on this forum. The search function is real handy. I am still a newbie myself but the info on this forum is great.
I’m sure some more experienced guys may have more to offer.
Good Luck!
Thanks for the info. yes, I am down-streaming and using the 65 degree nozzle to apply and rinse. I dont have a soft wash pump but I figure 65 tip nozzle is pretty soft. I have also used a “2 story” shooter tip but it still wont clean right. Could it be that I need a better detergent?
I want to start by saying if any more experienced guys want to correct me please do.
I think you may be referring to a roof pump, which unless your doing roofs you don’t need. Everyone has their own definition of what “soft” is. I would look into Soft Wash nozzles and JROD holder from PressureTek. They will be a lot more efficient then using the color coded tips that come standard with your machine. Search the shooter tip on this forum and look at the pics that come up. There are guys that are able to reach the peaks of a roof on a four story structure with no ladder and no extension pole. Work smarter not harder. Thanks Guy,, (Shooter Tip hero) - #24 by VICurbAppeal - Residential - Pressure Washing Resource
In regards to your other post about soaps, the answers are already on the forum. Do some digging and you will find all of your questions already have answers.
Thanks so much! I think the nozzle change will help a lot. Ive been working my butt of trying to get siding cleaned and I know there are smarter ways. Thank God for forums…lol
I was wondering the same. i havnt used bleach before on a downstream. From what I can tell some guys are saying to go straight on bleach (8%) and soap through the siphon on downstream. Any thoughts on that?
