My pressure is surgeing high and low?

I have a 16HP General Pump TS2021 it started doing this… It will do this one day I cut it off for the day, sometimes have to use my 7HP 3200 to finish a job… Then I START back up next day and its all fine?
Few weeks ago I saw were oil was coming out of the cap… I checked it it was low, filled it up and been ok… I did notice the oil was a bit milky, So how to fig this out . can it be Unloaded or check valves caps…

I did order me a new pump and a Pluse3 unloader… I got to get back going, I got a few jobs waiting on me… Pump did come in has no paper work with it… says use General OIL 100… Will 30wt be just as ok?
I might could have fig out to fix this but with the oil milkey I fig I got pumps issues to deal with

I own the same pump. I use 80 w gear oil in it . No problems. You’ll probably have to rebuild the innards of the pump. You can get the kit online . There’s Youtube videos on it, to show you how to do it. It’s best to dig in and learn this because if you don’t you’ll spend a fortune paying a mechanic to tinker with it. My supplier charges $90 an hour. to work on stuff like this. It’s best to just learn it and get good at it. It gives you an understanding of how things work and you can do repairs onsite if you’re in a jam .

I got and put on a New unloaded a Pulse3… it does the same thing, high and low surging.
I sure HOPE when I put on the NEW PUMP that will fix my problem…
What that don’t fix it what is it?

Feed it from a water hose after you clean the filter. Report back.

how u do that? get a fitting the goes into the pump with hose connect I guess??

Yes, the first step in novice troubleshooting of pump issues is to pressure feed it with a clean filter. If no change is observed, it’s not a feed issue. Or drop it off at your local service center. Hopefully your hourly rate is twice theirs so it won’t hurt too badly.
