I’m picky with the ladder racks. Many that I see driving around look pretty janky to me. So I didn’t want to be trying to figure that out from a far distance with BCE. I’ll find a local welder and see his work. Or Brian will help me. Lol.

You can definitely do that and you can also have them make it as fancy as you want it to be. I wanted to do the same with my trailer as well as have them make a stand for my machine and two stands for the pressure and supply reels. Unfortunately, the welder I went to didn’t have very good communication skills and after a month of waiting around for a quote I just decided to buy a welder and make them myself. I haven’t done the ladder rack yet but I need to get it done. You can pick up a welder cheap at HF and from there just practice and make anything you want. SC racks, reel stack kits, etc.

Plus 1 Million on the welder . Learning how to weld could save you time and thousands of dollars over time . Just this weekend. Like every weekend things had to get fixed.
One Titan hose reel manifold got re welded . The factory weld broke :-1: Pretty sad if you ask me . And I built a grapple bucket for my tractor. For less than $200

I’d definitely help you. I agree with learning how to weld. It’s not all that difficult getting metal to hold together as long as your weld isn’t going to be xrayed by a weld inspector. It’s all about watching the puddle and watching the steel breakdown on either side of it. It’s a lot of fun too. A Harbor Freight welder is good enough for around the house. We’ll have you welding and rebuilding engines before you know it. :grinning:

I picked up a flux 125 welder Harbor Freight for I think $179 and it has done everything I’ve needed to do so far and it actually lays down a really good bead once you get your settings dialed in.
