I get a call on Sunday morning, the guy is looking to get his house washed, sounds smart and asks smart questions. We talk for a bit and I explain the soft wash process and he goes ok that sounds good to me and he goes to ask about my gpm. Long story short, he contacted another company he thought sounded dishonest. He goes the other guy claims his machine puts out 18gpm and I was like what??? “18 Gpm”?
I told him I’ve never heard about a pressure washer ever putting out that amount of water. (I honestly haven’t) and he tells me, yea the guy said call around town you won’t find a machine this size!
The moral of the story is, Honesty always wins! Clients can smell the BS! I always answer all questions with honesty and If I land the gig I land it! But bs’ing clients is never the smart way to earn there business.
I’m not a fan of it, but I see call come in and I take them! Sat’s we work. Sundays we take off! But sometimes picking up that call fills in a blank spot
I have know idea. There is a guy around me that has one similar he said he paid 30k but I don’t think he is telling the truth. I think it cost me around 5k or 6k to build it. It will be up for sale hopefully near the end of the year I’m building two 9gpm-12gpm units
I run a 1/2" air pump that can put out 17gpm @ 90psi but we neck it down to maybe 5-6 gpm. If I ran 17 gpm I’d go through 50 gallons of bleach mixture in less than 2 minutes! That’s probably what he has or he’s just lying.
Client, Forwarded the email. And the guy says 18gpm and 180 degree hot house wash. So, the question is… is there a heater that heats up that amount of water?
