Customer stated someone used muradic acid for an oil stain.How do you fix this?
fix what? I’ve used muriatic acid on oil stains before and it was fine. they leave it on too long and made a hole??

ok thanks for the picture, im new to PW but i have helped with cement work before. I’d try posting on the F9 facebook group, either that or try muriatic acid but dont let it sit too long. that looks like they just left it there without rinsing
How long do you usually let it sit? They stated they were told 5 minutes
yea 5 minutes should be plenty, we used a pump sprayer, not sure if in that picture they sprayed or dumped it on. it’s most likely etched at this point so I’d lightly hit it with muriatic, give it a few minutes then RINSE A TON, a high SH mix after might help as well. If it’s been there more than a few days you’ll never get it all out though, once oil permeates cement youll kind of see it until its repaved. Also, if you’ve never worked with muriatic acid be very careful, it dissolves organic material, including your body. my mom was a ER nurse and she’s told me some horror stories about muriatic acid, ive always been surprised anyone can just go buy it at lowes

Rust Remover
Muriatic Acid has Iron in it…
Rust Remover, Then mix some baking soda in a pump sprayer and spray the entire concrete let it dry and leave… don’t rinse it… It will neutralize any Muriatic acid left and prevent it from re activating
it might be expensive, but I’ve used mek successfully for those exact stains.
