Mtm 4 gpm 5000 psi

First off Merry Christmas everyone!

I picked a killer deal. It’s an overpriced MTM Honda GX630 with a General Pump TSP1621. It’s rated by the manufacturer at 4 GPM at 5000 PSI. I run 690s for mainly house washing so I’m familiar with these types of machines but never seen a 5000 psi pump used for what we do. Not sure if there is a use for this pump. My plan is to rebuild on a skid with a 5.5 GPM gear drive. This would be a backup support machine for our other rigs. I mainly bought this set up for the engine. Only 493 hrs. Runs great. Paid $600. Any thoughts on the pump or ideas of what you would do? I’ll update this thread as I build it.

I’ve got a Landa version with the 5gpm 5kpsi pump and kohler 25hp vtwin. only thing i can think of is maybe paint removal from steel or construction equiptment cleaning. but I’ve done neither. i wonder if it’d make a good wet blaster.

I don’t plan on blasting anything.:joy:

You could wipe the smile off someone’s face with that.

Don’t you have the gx630 @dcbrock

I do, yes.

me neither unless I’m introduced into a niche that pays big$$$, little time and investment, that’s plentiful.

Get bigger tips to lower the psi, we run our 5.5 gpm pumps for fleet washing on gx630 or 18hp vanguard . So you definitely can put a 5.5,6 gpm pump on there and achieve 3500 psi. I suggest the GP ts2021

My 630 originally was a 5.5/3500 machine, so ditto.

That’s definitely an idea

There’s a tsf2021 7.0 gpm 3600 psi that’s the one you are saying?

Yes, tsf2021 is an 8/3500 with a gx690 or 8/3000 with a GX630.
